Description:
Veit & Company is currently seeking an experienced Earthwork Superintendent to manage Veit earthwork projects outside of the metro area; specifically out of state work. Travel will be required for an unspecified amount of time depending on the specific project. Knowledge and proven application of all phases of commercial and landfill earthwork services is required to meet Veit's scope of services including: mass grading and excavation, soil correction, overburden stripping, storm water retention, subgrade preparation, road and parking lot construction, retaining walls and site remediation. Applicants should possess excellent leadership skills and strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management and outside parties such as owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers. Applicants must have a proven successful project history (quality, schedule, safety, cost management), be flexible, well-organized, detail oriented and be able to multi-task. Must have experience overseeing subcontractor work to meet all timely and quality expectations of the job. A minimum of five years experience overseeing commercial, multiphase earthwork projects is required. Primary residence can be anywhere in the five state area.
